Happy New Year! I’ve started with a Dungeon23 inspired project, Galaxy24.
Get a cheap diary, create a star every Monday, other locations in its orbit Tuesday through to Friday, then a couple of extra hooks at the weekend.
So by the end of the year I should have 52 systems, which I’ll probably split into four quadrants of 13 each. I’m calling this a galaxy, even if it’s a rather small one.
Here’s where I’m up to in the middle of the first week.
As with Dungeon23, the point isn’t to create a masterpiece every day, but to create lots of little pieces that fit together into a more interesting whole.
If you jump on board this then let me know using #Galaxy24

Prismatic Wastelands challenges all bloggers to create a new mechanic. Here’s mine:
1-in-6: If you’re doing something risky, roll d6. No risk? No roll.
Are the odds in your favour? Roll anything but a 1 to succeed.
Are the odds against you? You need to roll a 6 to succeed.
You think it’s a 50/50? Tough luck! That probably means the odds are against you but you don’t realise it yet.
A more extreme version of Ask the Stars I guess.

Ayo, is this prep for a sci-fi bastionland?
I regret not doing the Dungeon 23 last year, so I'm definitely trying Galaxy 24! Can't wait to see how it turns out.
