also, i deeply appreciate that you were so meticulous to share actual monetary amounts from things like patreon and sales since I find it quite a “mystical” space - it’s hard to know what success can look like for indie publishing without any tangible measures.

Mad respect for keeping with it all this time. You somehow found the secret sauce of building your community and support all along, while I spent MY time just learning each and every aspect of art, writing, animation, audio, writing prose, writing mechanics, etc. Good skills, but a waste if I never publish a single thing. Kids and their college also were pricy. Anyway, just wanted to give you the respect and empathy deserved for such a road taken. Congrats on your successes and those to come.
It is so important to hear the work that goes into making a games company, especially as a solo. It’s such a tough pill to swallow for someone like me who flits around from creative project to creative project. But I also don’t create for money or really anyone else.
